HEEDING THE CALL
By: Dr. Erlito Carillo, ThD , Vice-President on Non-Academic Affairs
God's call is urgent! There's a cry
from our family, from our neighbor, from our nation. And there's a cry of the
world; help us! Help us! We at the BMABC always face the challenge… to “go into
the entire world”: to evangelize, to teach, to baptize, to plant churches. Thank
God, He touches lives to respond to the call. We have several graduates of our
Bible College who already have surrendered their lives for mission work in Asia.
It's our prayer that more missionaries will respond to the call in different
parts of the world especially to the heathen nations. We trust God thru our
local churches with whom He will send, because He knows whom He can use most
effectively.
Our duty is to answer the call to go into the highways and hedges and respond to
the cries of the world.
Listen:
This is the answer to the cry of the world:
We are called to be God's servants, working in this world today;
Taking His own task upon us,
All His sacred Words obey.
Let us rise then to His summons,
Dedicate to Him overall'
That we may be faithful servants,
Quick to answer now His call.
We are to be God's prophets
Spokesman for the truth and right;
Standing firm for Godly justice, Bringing evil into light.
Let us seek the courage needed'
Our high calling to fulfill
That mankind may know the blessing
Of doing God's will.
“God saved us and called us with a holy calling,… according to His own purpose”.
(II Timothy 1:9).
To BMABC and BMAP Christians, let us march to obey the call! Let us do the best
we can, not for reward, not for the praise of men but for the Lord.

Class 2004
By: Marie Jan Jurisprudencia
Every year a new breed of freshmen are enrolled in the Bible school. Soon to be
pastors and Bible women are welcomed. Others may wonder, are they here to stay
or can we expect them to pack up their bags and leave after sometime.
After years the school has trained many
great pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and bible workers. You may have asked
how were they able to endure the hard and tedious life in bible school? It is a
fact that life in the bible school is not easy. They wouldn't have passed the
test if they didn't know the purpose why they enrolled in the first place.
These new batch of students must have
their own reasons and purpose why they came and why they will stay. The Love for
God and the willingness to serve Him in fulltime ministry is one reason why one
student came. The eagerness to be knowledgeable in God's Word in order to be
equipped in God's service is also one of the drives to pursue bible school. The
commitment to serve, the desire in church are some of the many reasons why
they're here.
This year the school was blessed with
a big number of freshmen and their coming was not an accident. God must have
laid on their hearts the burden and made them decide to come. May that cause be
an encouragement and a constant reminder for them to stay faithful and persevere
for God desires to use people who have a heart of purpose and commitment.
Maybe you have the desire to obey
God, or you want to know more about the bible, church music, teaching Sunday
school. Or you may just have the willingness to serve Him. Like these students,
they recognized that burden and took the first step in obeying God by enrolling
in the Bible school. Maybe God has laid a burden on you too…. Well that's reason
enough to persevere and stay faithful.
